Public Liability Insurance is compulsory. If you have your own insurance, a copy of your certificate of currency (valid at the time of the event) must be supplied.
Includes a 10amp power supply to your stand, plus testing and tagging of up to 10 electrical items.

Terms & conditions (if accepted)
  • Successful applicants will be invoiced on Tuesday 18 April 2017. A non-refundable 25% deposit is payable within 21 days, on 9 May 2017, to secure your stall. Payment can be made via cheque, credit card or EFT (details will be included on your tax invoice). The balance will be invoiced on Tuesday 1 August with a payment term of 21 days.

    – Cancellation more than 30 days prior to the event will incur a 25% charge.
    – Cancellation less than 30 days before the event will incur a 100% charge unless the stand can be filled, in which case a 25% fee will be charged.
    – For cancellations less than 14 days NO refund or partial refund is available, regardless of whether the stand can be filled or not.

  • All stallholders must have their own public liability insurance for the event. This can be arranged through The Big Design Market or independently with a copy of your certificate of currency forwarded to The Big Design Market by the date specified.

  • Stallholders must be set up and ready to trade by 9.45am each day.

  • Security will have 30 minutes to ensure all visitors have left the building at the close of trading each day. The Big Design Market is not responsible for stalls left unattended before all visitors have left the building.

  • All stands will have a white backing wall 2.18m high. Any display materials/products attached to the backing wall must not exceed 10kg. The backing wall cannot be used as a load bearing device or as a support structure.

  • Product and displays must not exceed 2.18m(h) along backing walls and 1.5m(h) along the sides of stalls. If any stallholder exceeds these height limitations they will be required to remove or resize the oversized items to fit the correct specifications before being permitted to trade. Stallholders who fail to comply will not be permitted to trade and will not receive a refund.

  • It is the stallholders responsibility to allow space for access in and out of their stall when designing their stall set-up. (e.g. A 2x2m stand with a 1.8m trestle will allow a 20cm gap for you to get in and out of your stall.)

  • Stallholders leaving excess rubbish at the venue will be invoiced for its removal.
    Rubbish removal fee: $300 per cubic metre or part thereof.

  • The Big Design Market is not responsible for breakages or damages of any product or display or personal belongings brought to the venue.

  • Stallholders will take due care to prevent injury and property damage. The Royal Exhibition Building is a World Heritage listed site and as such, extreme care must be taken to minimise the risk of damage to the venue during bump-in and bump-out. Damages must be paid for by the person responsible.
